Animal Control Officer

The Mercer County Animal Control Officer is responsible for taking necessary action in dealing with stray animals, cruelty to animals and abandoned animals.  The officer is to enforce the Mercer County Ordinance for the Control of Domestic Animals within Mercer County, administer all fees and licenses and respond promptly to calls during the daytime, evening and weekend hours.  The Mercer County Animal Control Officer is an employee of the Mercer County Fiscal Court and provides services for the benefit of the citizens of Mercer County.
