The Mercer County Health Department offers an on-going oral mercury thermometer exchange. Bring in an oral mercury thermometer, and receive a free oral digital thermometer while supplies last.  Mercury even in the smallest amounts is hazardous.  Take this opportunity to properly dispose of mercury thermometers in your home.  If you have any questions about mercury or mercury sources or to dispose of mercury in your home, please call the Mercer County Health Department at 859-734-2229 ext 135.
